Big Parks & Gardens

These are large green spaces, from Seoul Botanic Park to World Cup Park and Dream Forest. Main entrances often have no step, but the grounds are big and some parts have slopes or stairs. Choose your areas before you go if long walks are hard.

Each row shows the closest station with a street elevator or a street-level entrance, out of the two stations nearest the place. These places are large, so the walk from the station depends on where you go in.

Before you go

These notes come from public data and online sources.

Haneul Park
Decide how you will reach the top before you travel. The electric cart saves the climb, but whether it can take a wheelchair is not known. If it cannot take you, the other ways up are the long uphill road or stairs, unless driving up is still allowed.
Long walks
Seoul Children's Grand Park has many gentle slopes and gate-to-gate walks of 15 to 20 minutes, with pavilions and benches for rest. The greenhouse route at Seoul Botanic Park has gentle paths, an elevator and places to sit.
Dream Forest
The park is large, with slopes and stone paving in places, but it has gentle paths and many rest spots. Read the Dream Forest page before you plan a trip to the observatory.
Borrowing a wheelchair
To borrow a wheelchair at the gates of Seoul Children's Grand Park, show ID and write down your phone number. Seoul Botanic Park lends them at the Visitor Center if you leave your ID. At Dream Forest, go to the East Gate visitor center, but call first because it closed on Mondays as of December 2024.
Busy days
Parking can be slow on weekends at Seoul Children's Grand Park, and on weekends and public holidays at Dream Forest and Seoul Botanic Park. Use public transport if you can.
