Heads-up
The park's outdoor inclined elevator has been out of service since September 21, 2026, with no restart date set as of October 2026. To reach the observatory in a wheelchair, go by car, then take the observatory's inside elevator. During center hours, the center's inside elevator also takes you near the observatory's inside elevator. Ask the center whether you can use this way in a wheelchair without help. The Mei Lyn Chinese restaurant also appears to be reached by inclined elevator. Check the Seoul Parks news page before you go.
Sangsang Toktok Art Museum (상상톡톡미술관) and Dream Gallery (드림갤러리) close every Monday, as of October 2026. The observatory also closes on Mondays. It opens 10:00–18:00 from March to October and 10:00–17:00 from November to February.
Getting in
- Entrance
- The approach and the main entrance are wide, with no steps. A power wheelchair charger is just inside the entrance.
- Route
- The center is closest to the park's West Gate. From Miasageori Station on Line 4, take bus Gangbuk 05 from Exit 1 or bus 1124 from Exit 3, and get off at the West Gate stop (북서울꿈의숲(서문)).
- East Gate
- The ramp from the East Gate to the center is somewhat steep, and the walk from the bus stop takes about 10 minutes. Choose the West Gate if you can, since it is closer.
- Parking
- The West Gate parking lot has accessible spaces on B2 and outside. There may be 4 on B2 and 5 outside, or 6 in total.
- Parking cost
- Parking costs 300 won per 10 minutes, as of October 2026. If you see a performance, register at the 2nd-floor information desk for 1 hour 20 minutes free. This does not apply at the East Gate lot.
Inside
- Moving around
- Indoor hallways are wide and flat. Wheelchair users can use the elevator, but the inside of the elevator is somewhat small.
- Halls
- You may need stairs from the 2nd floor to reach the 3rd-floor Concert Hall, so call before you book a seat there. The Performance Hall appears to be on the 2nd floor.
- Toilets
- The accessible toilet is on the 1st floor. The floor guide by the elevator may show otherwise, with toilets only on B1, 2F and 3F. Call the center to ask which floor it is on.
- Toilet space
- Wheelchair users can use the toilet, but the room is somewhat small and parts of it may be awkward. It appears to have a fold-down bar left of the toilet and a fixed bar on the right. There appears to be a heater low on the left wall, which may reduce turning space.
- Wheelchair rental
- You can borrow a wheelchair only on the East Gate side, at the visitor center, which has 7. Return it by 17:00, as of October 2026. The East Gate is the side with the steep ramp.
