Heads-up

Do not count on reaching the top of Haneul Park by wheelchair. One travel guide says the way up is 291 steps or a paid electric shuttle from the parking lot. Whether you can ride the shuttle in a wheelchair is not known, so call before you plan this part.

One travel guide says Haneul Park gets very crowded during the Seoul Silver Grass Festival in October. Allow extra time if you go then.

Getting in

Entrance
You can enter through the main entrance by wheelchair. It is wide, with no step or slope.
Approach
The way to the entrance has no steps and a gentle slope. Some stretches are dirt or deck.
Parking
The park has 14 accessible parking spaces. Sources differ on how many accessible spaces there are and where. Call 02-300-5500 (+82-2-300-5500 from abroad) to ask which lot to use. Cars pay 150 won per 5 minutes, as of October 2026.
Route
The park's directions use Exit 1 of World Cup Stadium Station, about a 10-minute walk, but Exit 1 has no street elevator. Exit 8 of Mapo-gu Office Station has one, and the walk is 16 minutes.

Inside

Size
The park covers 2,284,085 m² across five areas: Peace Park (평화의공원), Haneul Park (하늘공원), Noeul Park (노을공원), Nanjicheon Park (난지천공원) and Nanji Hangang Park (난지한강공원). Pick one area instead of trying to see all five.
Paths
Paths are wide, with no steps or slopes, in at least part of the park. Which part is not known. Some paths through the silver grass appear to be unpaved and may hold puddles. One travel guide says the way to Metasequoia Road turns from paved to dirt.
Peace Park
One travel guide says Peace Park is flat throughout, unlike the other park areas. Start there if you need level ground. It has two rest areas with snack shops, Byeoljari and Yeonmot. Whether you can enter them by wheelchair is not known.
Hilltops
Haneul Park and Noeul Park have stairs up the hill. Roads also run toward the top, but their slope and width are not known.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are inside a park building near the parking lot, near Wind Plaza (바람의 광장) and near the gateball court. Peace Park has several, including at its parking lot and beside the Western Parks Leisure Center (서부공원여가센터). The Haneul Park side has them too.

Part of the park may instead stay open all night; Haneul Park and Noeul Park close at night, apart from Noeul Campground. Sources differ on which areas these hours cover. Call 02-300-5500 (+82-2-300-5500 from abroad) before an early or late visit.
Shuttle
A paid electric shuttle runs from Nanjicheon Park to the tops of Haneul Park and Noeul Park. To Haneul Park, it costs 2,000 won one way or 3,000 won round trip, as of October 2026. In October and November, that line runs 09:00–19:00, as needed or every 10–20 minutes. Reduced fares for people with disabilities and people aged 65 or older are 1,500 won one way or 2,200 won round trip. Ask at the ticket desk whether this covers you.
