The zoo closes at 17:00, much earlier than the park, as of October 2026. Visit the zoo first.
Parking waits can be long on weekends and in peak season. On spring Fridays, weekends, and holidays, lots can be full from 10:30 to 16:30, with an average wait of 1 hour 30 minutes. The main gate lot fills first on weekends, so try the back gate or Guui Gate lot.
Getting in
- Entrance
- You can enter by wheelchair at the main gate and the back gate. Neither has a step. The approach and main entrance are gentle ramps.
- Parking
- The park has 30 accessible parking spaces at the back gate, Neungdong Gate (능동문), Seoul Sangsang Nara (서울상상나라), and Guui Gate (구의문) lots. Parking hours are 09:00–22:00, as of October 2026.
- Route
- For the main gate, use Exit 1 of Children's Grand Park Station (Line 7). For the back gate, use Exit 4 of Achasan Station (Line 5).
- Vehicles
- As of November 2024, the park bans cars, motorcycles, bicycles, kick scooters, inline skates, and electric vehicles.
Inside
- Paths
- Expect many gentle slopes, which can make moving harder in a wheelchair. Ramps are fairly well placed. One travel guide says the paths are wide and easy with a stroller. In older information from 2016, one wheelchair user said the hills made getting around not easy.
- Steep spots
- Some sections inside and outside the Tropical Animal House (열대동물관) are steep. Older information says ramps link its two floors.
- Toilets
- Find accessible toilets beside Neungdong Forest Stage (능동숲속의무대), behind the Tropical Animal House, near the sports ground (운동장), and at Neungdong Gate. The one in the Customer Information Center has plenty of room. Some accessible toilets are not easy to use.
- Distance
- The park is very large, about 536,000 m². From the main gate, the back gate is about a 20-minute walk and Guui Gate about 15 minutes. Guui Gate to the back gate is about 18 minutes. Allow more time if you move slowly. Pavilions and long benches give you places to rest.
- Wheelchairs
- You can borrow a wheelchair at the gates. Show ID and write down your phone number. The main gate has 7, Neungdong Gate 2, and Guui Gate 1. Sources differ on the back gate: it has 8 or 4. Call the Customer Information Center at 02-450-9336 (+82-2-450-9336) to ask.
