Getting here

Exit 1 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station leads to Eoullim Square and the B2 entrances at DDP. It appears to open at square level, with a ramped way from the subway. How the station elevator connects to DDP, including distance and slopes, is not known. Exit 9 of Dongdaemun Station connects underground to Dongdaemun Shopping Complex. Directions for Gwangjang Market and Doosan Art Center use Jongno 5(o)-ga Station. Official directions for KwangHee Fashion Mall, Doota Mall and Chungmu Arts Center use exits with no street elevator, so choose your exit from the station list first.

The spaces are spread out and linked by a 533 m gentle slope that also serves as a rest area. Elevators are around the building.

Cheonggyecheon

Most entrances are stairs only, so choose a ramp or elevator entrance and plan your way out too. Rain can close the path, so have another plan for a rainy day.

Markets

Gwangjang Market has a step-free main entrance, but food queues often block its narrow alleys. Try a weekday if you can. Dongdaemun Shopping Complex is large, and elevators help you change floors.

Night malls

KwangHee Fashion Mall and Nuzzon Fashion Mall open at night, so read their pages before you plan a day visit.

City wall

The outside of Heunginjimun Gate is a short, flat visit, but nearby Heunginjimun Park and the Naksan wall trail have hills. The way up to Seoul City Wall Museum is fairly steep, and there is a step-free way in from the top parking lot.
