Han River Parks

These parks run along the Han River, and several have chairs, shade and places to rest. Mangwon and Banpo are long parks, so choose a short stretch if walking is hard. How far a wheelchair can go at Ttukseom and Nanji is not known yet.

Each row shows the closest station with a street elevator or a street-level entrance, out of the two stations nearest the place. These places are large, so the walk from the station depends on where you go in.

Before you go

These notes come from public data and online sources.

Getting into the park
The way in differs by park. At Ttukseom, the Jabeolle elevators take you into the park, but they stop on Mondays, Seollal and Chuseok. Mangwon has six elevators. At Banpo, the park has no elevator near Banpo Bridge.
Borrowing a wheelchair
You can borrow a wheelchair for free at Ttukseom and Nanji. Banpo and Some Sevit also lend them, and Seonyudo Park has 3. Call before you come to ask about ID and loan hours.
Paths and bikes
Banpo has flat paths, and walking and cycling paths run separately. At Mangwon, parts of the bike path are shared with people walking and with cars, so watch for both.
Seonyudo and Some Sevit
At Seonyudo Park, many paths are flat, but high steps limit some areas. At Some Sevit, the links between islands may have shallow steps, so take care with a wheelchair.
Busy days
Large events can bring crowds and heavy traffic on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Take public transit on those days if you can.
