Getting in

Entrance
The way to the main entrance is wide, with no steps or slopes. Part of the approach is grass.
Parking
Accessible parking is in the basement of the main City Hall building, not at the plaza. Ask City Hall whether a foreign permit is accepted.
Route
The official directions point to City Hall Station Line 1 Exit 5, in front of the plaza. This exit has no street elevator; see Getting there. Many buses also serve the plaza, including routes 400, 401 and 402.

Inside

Ground
The ground is mostly flat. Since the April 2025 renewal, grass and larch wood paving form a pattern across the plaza.
Wood path
One wood path, modeled on the Deoksugung (덕수궁) wall road, is 136 m long and 4 m wide. The 4 m width applies to this path only.
Toilets
The plaza has no accessible toilet of its own. Use Seoul City Hall or the public toilet beside the path into City Hall. Not all sources say the public toilet has an accessible stall. Call 02-2133-5640 (+82-2-2133-5640) to ask.
City Hall
The accessible toilet and the elevator in the main City Hall building both have room for a power wheelchair.
Rest
You can sit on bench-style planters by the zelkova trees in the center of the plaza. Six zelkovas and 24 pines give shade, as of May 2025.
