Heads-up
Outdoor stairs to the right of Sejong Lounge lead to Sejong Chamber Hall and Sejong M Theater. If you use a wheelchair, find the separate wheelchair route on the center's website before your show.
Vehicles 1.8 m or taller cannot enter Sejongno public parking lot. If you travel in a tall wheelchair vehicle, check its height before you drive.
Getting in
- Entrance
- You can enter the main entrance by wheelchair, with no step. The approach is wide, with a gentle slope and no curbs. The door appears to be an automatic sliding door.
- Route
- Official directions from Gwanghwamun Station use Exit 1, 7 or 8. Exits 7 and 8 have no street elevator. For the elevator exit, see Getting there.
- Parking
- There are 7 accessible parking spaces, and a ramp runs from the parking area to the entrance. The exact lot and floor of the 7 spaces are not stated. You may need to use the accessible spaces at Sejongno public parking lot. Sources differ on whether the center has its own accessible parking. Call 02-399-1000 (+82-2-399-1000) to ask where to park.
- Stairs and lifts
- The center's website shows a wheelchair route around the stairs for each hall and gallery. Wheelchair lifts serve stairs at the Grand Theater floor 1, Sejong Tteurak (세종뜨락) and the Sejong M Theater entrance. The outdoor lift appears to follow the stair rail and has an intercom, so you may need to call staff.
Inside
- Elevators
- Elevators run on both sides of the Grand Theater. An elevator links Sejong Lounge, the art museum and Sejong Tteurak with the first-floor lobby of M Theater. One elevator appears to serve Sejong Chamber Hall on floor 3. Sources differ on exactly which spaces connect. Call 02-399-1000 (+82-2-399-1000) to ask about the route to your hall.
- Wheelchair seats
- The Grand Theater has 20 wheelchair seats among its 3,022 seats. They are at the back: row 19 of sections B and D on floor 1, and row 14 of sections A and G on floor 2.
- Toilets
- Accessible toilets are separate from the regular toilets and divided by gender. Doors are at least 0.8 m wide, and there are grab bars and a help bell. One appears to be near zones E and F on the official floor map.
- Rest
- Sejong Lounge on floor 1 is an open space linking the halls, art museum and Gwanghwamun Square. It has a bakery cafe. The lounge is open 08:00–23:00 as of October 2026.
- Wheelchairs
- Bring your own wheelchair for a performance, because the theaters do not lend them. The art museum has 1 wheelchair for its visitors only. Sources differ on wheelchair loans. Call 02-399-1000 (+82-2-399-1000) to ask whether you can borrow one.
