Getting in
- Entrance
- You can enter by wheelchair or mobility scooter. The entrance is a wide, open passage with no step. Sources differ on whether it has a ramp or is level.
- Tickets
- The ticket counter is high and can be awkward from a wheelchair, but there is room to turn. The left ticket gate, beside the information desk, appears to be for wheelchair users.
- Route
- The aquarium points visitors to Jamsil Station exits 1 or 2 on Line 2, and 10 or 11 on Line 8. Some of these exits have no street elevator, so see Getting there.
- Parking
- The building has its own parking with accessible spaces, which are easy to use.
Inside
- Paths
- Exhibits are on B1 and B2. Indoor passages are wide and flat with no steps, so wheelchairs and mobility scooters move easily. Older information also describes ramps along the passages.
- Between floors
- The standard route has an escalator, so ask staff for the route without one. An accessible elevator is about the size of two wheelchairs. A sign by the B2 elevator says wheelchair and stroller users can use it to reach the polar zone or the exit.
- Toilets
- Accessible toilets are on B1 in the Nature Zone, with separate ones for men and women. There may be a folding grab bar on one side and an L-shaped bar on the wall. There is no family toilet.
- Rest
- You can rest on benches or in a rest area for visitors with disabilities. Viewing seats for visitors with disabilities are also available. Download the official English guide map to find benches, elevators and accessible toilets.
- Wheelchairs
- Borrow a wheelchair for free at the B1 entrance gate and return it when you leave. Numbers are limited; the last known count is 5.
