Hongdae Mural Street

How far you can go here by wheelchair or on foot is not known yet. There are no steps on the way in or at the main entrance, but the alley beyond is not known. This is a street of murals near the Hongik University main gate. Sources differ on whether the mural alley is by the main gate or the back gate of Hongik University. Call the Mapo information center at 02-334-7878 (+82-2-334-7878) to ask where it is. We only know a little about it so far.

Entrance
There are no steps on the way to the entrance or at the main entrance. There is not enough information about the main mural route.
Location
The murals are in the alley to the left of the Hongik University main gate. Sources give different locations for the mural alley. Check its location before you go. Older information from 2014: One travel guide says the alley entrance is very narrow and hard to find.
Parking
One visitor wrote that you cannot park here.

The street is open all day, every day of the year, as of October 2026. One visitor wrote on October 14, 2026 that entry is free.
