Heads-up

The entrance door and elevator are narrow. If your wheelchair is wide or powered, call or email the museum before you go.

The museum is closed every Monday and on 1 January, as of October 2026. Sources differ on other public holiday closures. Call or email the museum before a holiday visit.

You may have to wait to enter, depending on conditions that day. Allow extra time.

The museum has no lockers, and suitcases and other large bags cannot go in. Leave them at your hotel if you can, or ask the staff at the entrance on the day. Storage is not guaranteed.

Getting in

Entrance
The approach and main entrance have no step. The door is manual and narrow, so it may be awkward in a wheelchair. A manual wheelchair may nearly fill the open doorway.
Parking
The museum's small car park is only for people with disabilities and pregnant visitors. Accessible parking is behind the building. Ask the museum whether this covers you. Others can use paid car parks nearby.
Tickets
The DCF COLLECTION exhibition runs from 30 October 2026 to 30 May 2027. Admission for adults aged 19 and over is free, as of October 2026. Ask the museum whether this covers foreign visitors. Book ahead for a QR ticket, which appears in the app or on the website on your visit day. Or go to the ticket box first. Fees vary by exhibition.
Route
The museum's directions start at Exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung Station. The last 40 m or so is along an alley. They also give a route from Exit 3. This exit has no street elevator, so see Getting there.

Inside

Elevator
Use the elevator to move between galleries in a wheelchair. Its entrance and cabin are narrow, so it may feel tight.
Floors
The floors inside are flat, so you can move around freely in a wheelchair.
Toilets
The museum has an accessible toilet. Ask staff where it is when you arrive.
