We have only a few facts about this place so far.
Heads-up
Parking is tight. The church lot is small on weekdays. On Sundays, avoid the church yard and use an outside car park, such as the Jeongdong-gil lot. Without a parking sticker, Sunday parking costs money, as of October 2026.
Bethel Chapel is used for other services at 6:00 a.m. daily except Sunday, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., as of October 2026. Whether you can look around during a service is not known.
What we know
- Arrival
- It is a 5-minute walk from the Deoksugung-side exit of City Hall Station, along the palace stone wall. By car, there is a parking area for people with disabilities in front of the Social Education Center (사회교육관).
- Entrance
- The main entrance and the path to it have no step, but which building this applies to is not known. There may be steps left of the front hall, and the site's several doors may offer another way in.
- Facilities
- The church has an elevator and a toilet for people with disabilities, but their buildings and floors are not known. The History Hall (역사기념관) has a rest area open to everyone.
- Bethel Chapel
- Bethel Chapel (벧엘예배당), the main sight, has one floor with a high ceiling. One visitor wrote in December 2025 that a volunteer in front of the History Hall opened the chapel door. The visitor was told people can enter during opening hours.
- Services
- An English service runs in Bethel Chapel on Sundays at 2:00 p.m., as of October 2026. Joining it may let you see inside the chapel. Whether you can look around during a service is not known.
